Maverick

Maverick was the sweetest boy at the ranch. He was one of our first major fundraising efforts and captured the hearts of so many of our follows! This good ole boy worked his whole life only to be dumped into the auction, slaughter pipeline when he got too old to work. With the help of a special local donor family, we saved him from that horrible fate, got him healthy and brought him home to join the Rustic Cs sanctuary herd. Maverick brought so much happiness to all of the visitors at the ranch and loved his carrot, and peppermint treats from our wonderful neighbors and visitors. Maverick was adopted to a wonderful family to join their personal sanctuary herd where he lived out his final days as every horse should! Roaming free with his other 2 Sanctuary friends Sara and King on a beautiful green property where all the animals were free to roam and visit the humans at their Leasure for treats and love. Maverick gained his well-earned angel wings April 14th, 2025, sleeping peacefully in those green fields.
